Writing my name on the SAT

i recently took my SAT and wrote my first name and last name, but i forgot to write my middle initial. Will this affect my scores or identification in any way??
i am kind of worried since i’ve heard that you earn 200 points just for writing your name correctly…

No it will not.

It’s not really that you get 200 points for writing your name. 200 points is the lowest you can score in each section (assuming you leave everything blank). If you don’t write your name the scores won’t get back to you though :P

No, you’ll be fine. It could potentially delay your scores, but I highly, highly doubt it. Also, like QwertyNerd said, you don’t get points for writing your name, it’s just that each section is graded from 200-800, so 200 * 3 = 600 as a minimum score.

Your registration number is what’s used to trace your scores back to you. Bubbling the registration number correctly is more important than writing your name properly.

thanks…phew

Also, the “200 points for writing your name correctly” is just an old truism because the lowest score you can get in any section is 200 and thus by simply putting your idenitification info on a test you automatically have at least the lowest score possible.
