<p>I was pretty caught up between B and C. B should be had served, because George is already retired and finished serving his term. </p>

<p>However isn’t C also wrong, since it should be “than did any”, since it’s a faulty comparison between George’s serving and his predecessors?</p>

<p>No C isn’t also wrong because it makes sense to say he has served longer than any of his predecessors. than did is redundant.</p>
