<p>Really? There’s nothing technically wrong with C, but B just sounds better and requires less change from the original sentence. I doubt a question like this would appear on a real SAT.</p>

<p>Well, C changes the meaning of the original sentence, which is that the heart is surrounded by the sac, with C the meaning and focus of the sentence is placed around the sac surrounding the heart.</p>
