writing sample, does it have to be related to the major I am applying?

<p>I am working on my application. I will appreciate it if you can help me. In my undergraduate studies, I did a double degree, one in law and one in communication. Now I am trying to apply for graduate school in communication. So I need a writing sample. My best work is my papers on law. Actually because I spent the whole third year on law, all my communication papers were written two years from now and they were not that good. </p>

<p>I am wondering if I could submit a law paper for my application. Or I should write a new communication paper?</p>

<p>It is pretty urgent so I really appreciate any prompt reply.</p>

<p>You need to submit a communication paper. Part of reading the sample is to look at your preparation in the field. A law paper isn’t going to give them that indication.</p>
