The fall 2005 writing seminars are up! Yay! Now we can start actually planning schedules and stuff (though it’s not concrete by any means). Dig in, folks!

I really like “Human Rights and the Rule of Law” one. And the Community-Building and Social Change seminar. Good stuff. They’re actually a lot better than I thought they’d be.

I’m actually kind of disappointed. I remember looking at last years and there were more that I liked. These aren’t as cool as freshman seminars. I hope I get assigned to the spring because I really want to take this English course (on essays) in the fall.

Quick question about seminar assignments: Since I’ll (hopefully) be taking the HUM sequence, everyone seems to say that you most definitely should NOT take your writing seminar in the fall. If I’m assigned there, does anyone know how willing they are to change it?

I’ve heard they usually work with people in the HUM, so I wouldn’t sweat it. You’ll more than likely be able to move it to the spring if you’re assigned a fall one.
