Wrong admissions decision?

I know this may sound ridiculous, but I’m having a pretty crappy day today and I’m feeling somewhat paranoid.

I was just wondering if Michigan has ever sent the wrong decision email notification to its applicants. I know something like this happened at UCSD, just wondering if another big state school could also be subject to such an error.

This is nothing to be worried about. Just have a good holiday season.

Mistakes happen of course. Michigan received close to 25,000 EA applications, so a few mistakes are bound to happen on an individual basis. The UCSD error was a large-scale mistake that was fixed almost immediately. Michigan did not make that sort of mistake this year. If it make an error, it would be on a case-by-case basis. However, I would say that those types of errors are very rare. I would not count on them.
