<p>Does anyone have and information on what really is possible regarding transfer out of a college that really is a poor fit after one semester- or possibly freshman year? There is so much out there saying how important it is to make sure your choice is a good fit, and honestly, so little about what you do if it turns out you guessed wrong.
My son , with our help, chose a very small, no - tiny, specialist college for the major he was interested in.He is a was a good student , so given the top merit scholarship (a factor in the choice) but had other options. He thought he’d like the small scale, but really it is making him depressed (really, he is seeing a doctor) He has made friends and is socially active, but is not at all academically challenged,and just isn’t having the college experience he wants.<br>
Has anyone had any experience of transferring after a short stretch at the wrong college?</p>
