So I only realized today that I listed a course I took under the wrong department. The name, the units, title, and when I took it are all exactly the same (Sociological Foundations: Introduction to Criminology), but I accidentally put it under the wrong department (Econ). At the time that I was filling out the application, I had dropped an Econ class, and quite obviously didn’t go over my application as thoroughly as I should have. What are the chances of my application getting rescinded?
Only the admissions office can give you a definitive answer but to me that sounds fairly trivial unless somehow listing it under the incorrect department affects the requirements you needed to fulfill for admission. I would call and let them know as soon as possible but I wouldn’t expect them to rescind you based on that error, especially if they were already aware of your dropped class at the time they made decisions.
