I’m an international student and I applied to an ivy league. My counsellor thought he sent out the recommendation with the wrong college name so I mailed the uni. They replied and gave me another link to resubmit and said they’ll add it in with the file. Now my counsellor checked and said it was not wrong and we don’t need to send a new one. Should I inform the college, mail them?
Will I be on a disadvantage or will my app be on hold? It’s been a while since the college mailed me.
It would be courteous to email them. Advise them that your counselor was in error and that the correct information was previously submitted.
Plus if you applied to an ivy, your chances are Very small. So if you aren’t admitted, it’s not a reflection of you. It’s just that the ivies only have so much room. They’re not gigantic universities. They are part of a sports conference. They can’t accept the hundreds of thousands of people that apply there yearly. As long as you’re OK with that then shoot your shot.
