wrong spelling on application

Oh my god…
I just checked my SENT application to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and I spelled Thomas Jefferson WRONG: Thomans Jefferson.
This was on the supplement short answer questions.
Will they take serious note of this and could it possibly diminish my chances?
Thanks for any help guys.

lol

I highly doubt it. Given the 40,000 applications they receive every year, I figure they see a good deal of mispellings in a lot more severe cases than yours. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. The supplements aren’t exactly suppose to be spelling test (not to say, I wouldn’t send it in with scrambled words), but a way to see inside your head. Your grades/SAT scores show them your capability at English rather than a accidental mistype of a name.

So, I wouldn’t worry. They definitely wouldn’t turn you down over it.

thanks forbiddendonut99…that’s so good to know.
