Wrong Supplemental Materials

Hi. While submitting supplemental materials to Cornell I accidentally also submitted a photo that was not supposed to be there (The Submit Documents portal is a bit tricky) and I don’t want it to land up in my application. How do I fix this?!?!?! I emailed admissions@cornell.edu telling them about this error and that I don’t want the photo to be a part of my app, is that enough? Please help I’m freaking out!

What was the photo?

^I have the same question.

lol, is it bad that I, too, am curious of the picture, haha

In all honesty, if it’s just a stupid picture, it’s really not a big deal. They’ll probably ignore it. However, if it is something inappropriate for any reason, that could definitely hinder your chances, even if they realize it was an accident.

It was nothing inappropriate, just a regular smiley Photo Booth picture of a friend and me.

^cute. Maybe it will give them a giggle. It’s good that you sent an email. I would call admissions also, if you don’t get a response in a week or so… just to make sure they get the message. You’ll be fine.

To make you feel better, go look for the CC thread about clam farts. To summarize, someone accidently submitted their app to Yale with clam farts as an activity. They got accepted…

EDIT - here it is

The clam fart thread is legendary.

SINCE the photo isn’t inappropriate, I wouldn’t worry too much. Just explain that it got mixed in there by accident. They should understand.
