Wrote vague courses - email colleges or not?

I wrote “IB Spanish SL” instead of “IB Spanish 5,” “IB Biology HL” instead of “IB Biology 2 HL,” and “IB History of the Americas” instead of “IB History of the Americas HL” for three of my schools on the Common App. Should I email my schools or will they be working off the mid-year report?

If it is a big issue for you, by all means contact your schools. Also, if you have more schools who still need your application, create a new version, change the data and then submit…

I’ve changed it for the ones I last submitted to, so it’s only three schools that have this issue. I don’t want to give them more work since it seems like a minor issue but it won’t hurt my application if I do contact them about this, right?

Not really. remember, your transcripts are going to be sent as well, which will be 100% accurate :)

Okay. I’m leaning towards emailing them just in case…any other opinions?

By all means, shoot them an email. You can mention that the correct courses will be on the transcript, which is what they focus on. The courses on your application are just a snapshot anyway.

I forgot to self-report my SAT subject tests even though I ordered the official score report, and I still sent my schools an e-mail.

Something to consider…

Okay, thanks for the feedback, everyone! Sending them an email. :)
