Ws vs. GPA boost

I took two semesters of a college co-op Spanish class offered by my high school as a HS senior. So when I ended up attending the state university that oversaw the co-op program, I got credit for these classes. They’re also factored into my college GPA.

However, I got a B+ and an A-. Certainly not bad grades, but lower than my current average in college. If I were to replace these two Spanish grades with Ws, it would bring my cumulative average from 3.879 to 3.942.

I’m mostly considering doing this because I took them in high school, and I really don’t want the effects of high school senioritis affecting my college GPA. I’d never consider doing this with a class I took in college. Additionally, I’m only going into my sophomore year, and I know that the effect of these classes on my GPA will be even less after a few more semesters.

Are the Ws worth the GPA boost? How do Ws look when the AMCAS application is being reviewed?

More than 1-2 W’s would raise a red flag. Save your W’s for when you’re in danger of getting a C. B+'s and A-'s aren’t worth a W lol

The .06 boost is definitely not worth two W’s, especially when you consider that it will be much less of a boost after a couple more years of college.

Not even a dilemma. Leave 'em.

I also have read somewhere that even though you must submit the college classes you took during high school. They know that they were taken during high school somehow and they won’t really penalize you for them
