<p>Shoot I cant find a job anywhere here in NYC.</p>
<p>I’m not surprised that the job market is good for us nowadays! 
I applied for over twenty jobs this summer, never expecting to hear back from roughly half of the places I applied. I’m 20 years old and have a couple years of job experience here and there, but I’m happy where I am right now. I wish everyone the best of luck if they’re still looking for summer work; I hope that people who do have jobs already are as happy as I am with their choices. ^_~ Good luck!</p>

<p>Touche, coot66! I read but I don’t participate, at least not until now. Never thought I could offer much in the way of advice. I live in Connecticut too, and will be entering my junior year at UCONN in the fall. I’ll be sure to participate a great deal from now on. Good luck to you!</p>
<p>Fortunately, my minimum wage job that I got senior year of HS takes me back over winter and summer vacations.</p>

<p>yep thats it if you have nothing special to offer an employer. I am a PC and electronics technician so I usually start off at around $20 an hour for in store work. Have been up to $65 an hour for contracted work.</p>
<p>Eh, I’m kind of regretting getting a summer job now. I’m working 30 hours a week at Cold Stone Creamery, roughly, and they are all night shifts…which sucks.</p>
<p>However, I do like the fact that I’m making over minimum wage due to tips from singing…</p>
