<p>A Cornell ILR study found that men in “traditional” couples liked earning more than wives (career satisfaction that is). What gets me is that I would never consider myself “traditional” (I’ve been working hard all the time that I have been married, and I have both a JD and MBA), but I don’t contribute over 40%!!! I guess if I was the typical “equal” I would have less family satisfaction - not a good trade off. </p>

<p>What do you think?</p>

<p>Maybe I’m not understanding the findings, but isn’t this scientific verification of the obvious: men who choose (or can) to devote more time and attentioon to their careers have greater career satisfaction.</p>
