WUE and National Merit Scholarship

Midwestpop - Dr. Nelson, the Vice Dean of Barrett is a professor in the anthropology department. My son is currently taking a class with her, Community of Undergraduate Research, and speaks pretty highly of her. The COURs class is for Barrett students doing research in any field (he is in engineering) and he seems to like it a lot. The reason I bring this up is that if you end up doing a campus visit, you may want to specifically request a meeting with Dr. Nelson if you visit Barrett. And I highly recommend the campus visit, you will be wow-ed by the Honors College campus. I think that when we did the campus visit, they quoted a statistic that something like 90% of the NMF who do a campus visit of Barrett end up enrolling. And that was before the new Barrett complex opened! I think the NMF scholarships are less now than they used to be, unfortunately, but it is still a pretty sweet deal. We are also from the Midwest and did the campus visit in January. We left home at -12 degrees and it was min the mid-70s at ASU. Yet another selling point!
