Hi, I plan to major in Biomedical Engineering in college. For me, WUSTL is going to cost around $50,000/year while Clemson would only cost around $30,000/per year. Also, I don’t plan on attending Medical School but expect to get my Masters in BME. So, do you think that WUSTL is worth around $80,000 more than Clemson???

WUSTL isn’t a top top school in biomedical engineering. It’s a great school overall though but if you can’t afford it Clemson definitely isn’t a bad option either since we have a great engineering program here.

Let me know if you have any questions about Clemson!

Thanks for the reply pierre! Any other opinions on the quality of both BME programs?

I honestly don’t know anything about both BME programs. According to US News’s Graduate School rankings, Washington University is #48 while Clemson is #79 but I don’t know how much that says about the undergraduate program at either schools. I’m a civil engineering major at Clemson and it’s been a great 3.5 years so far. Classes are challenging and I feel like I’ve been getting great preparation for a career as a civil engineer.
