WWU transfer?

I’m a student at a community college in California, and I’ve racked up about 15 semester units (half of what I need to transfer) and I have a 4.0 gpa. I’m in school part- time, since I sell my art online and do a lot of activities outside of school (plus I was in the hospital for part of this semester and it all went flop.

I’m planning on applying at WWU for Winter quarter 2017, and want to know if I am likely to get in. I know I have a 4.0 gpa, but since I’m only in school part- time right now with the mini- business, is that even impressive at all? I feel like just about anyone could ace their classes if they’re only taking two or three at a time.

But I’m also doing a lot of stuff outside the classroom too, and I don’t know if any of that counts at all: I just ran a charity campaign selling t- shirts I designed, and raised almost $600 for the Dave Thomas Foundation For Adoption, all by myself. I WAS secretary of my school’s GSA/ LGBTQA group for a semester (but my classes are right when the club meets, so that didn’t work out). I make and sell tea, art, and apparel for mostly fandom groups. And I make videos both as fan videos and for my vlogging channel, and have been teaching myself how to edit videos for a few years now.

I just don’t know if any of this really matters, you know? I mean, like I said, anyone can get good grades with a small course load. And anyone could do the things I have done. I just want to know if I still have a shot at getting into WWU?

Just fyi, I will have completed 33 units by the time I transfer. And also, my high school grades are not good. In my junior year I went through some extremely traumatic things which I am not really comfortable talking about on a public forum like this. Suffice it to say, everything suffered. I also had an IEP, but my teachers ignored it and that just created more problems for my grades. So yeah, no… I did poorly in my junior year. High school grades are a no- go.
