Wwyd?

I’m interested in taking some intro classes, like intro to psych and intro to sociology.

I do not need these courses, I’m simply very genuinely interested in the subject. I am a marketing communications major so I think knowing a little bit about these subjects may prove useful.

The only downside is I pay by credit amount not by semester, so the classes would be a somewhat unnecessary splurge ($750ish). I don’t have a problem paying but I am afraid that these classes won’t be use and the money may be used for something better like gas money or fixing my car if needed.

Is it possible for you to sit in on the class and not take it for credit? In large lecture halls, it’s usually pretty easy to blend in and just sit in on the lectures. That’s what I would do in this situation.

Alternatively, you could try to find online courses (like coursera) to give you a taste of different subjects, and if you’re still interested, pay to take a course at your school. I took an intro to archaeology class through coursera because I had never done so as an undergraduate and thought it was fantastic.
