Xavier 2024

S20 (#2) accepted on Oct. 16th to nursing 26 ACT 3.65 UW GPA …Also awarded $80,000 merit ($20,000/year)

congratulations, @sad1010 My D has very similar stats but we still haven’t heard. I am hoping we get good news (or any news) soon. It’s been several weeks.

My daughter applied on October 4th and received her admission decision last week. Her stats: 3.78 GPA, ACT 29. She received $23K in merit. She had a very strong emphasis on AP/Honors classes from freshman year, has taken four years of Latin, and has held club leadership positions in addition to a ton of volunteerism.

I was just accepted to the School of Business. 3.9 UW and 4.3 weighted. 24K merit/year. 1360 SAT, 7AP’s.

My daughter received her direct admit to nursing w merit. She’s thrilled! 26 Act / 3.6 from a college prep + many ECs. Was not expecting direct admit based on GPA but she is over the moon.

Congratulations! That’s fantastic!

@Finalthree Congratulations to your daughter on the direct admit to nursing!!! I’ve been checking back here for updates My son was admitted to the business school on 10/25 with a great scholarship. Very exciting!

My daughter was just accepted into Direct Admit Nursing also!!! 3.93 UW and 28 ACT. We are from Arkansas but my husband and I grew up in Ohio and we still have quite a bit of family in the area. We have not visited the school yet as this was a last minute add based on the recommendation of a Xavier alum that lives in our neighborhood. We will visit on a Xavier Preview Day at Thanksgiving when we are home to see family! Super excited as I’ve heard great things about the school!!

I hope you like it @arkymommy! My daughter really loves the campus. It’s between there and Marquette (at least for today ha) and have a visit planned for Milwaukee in a few weeks. She isn’t thrilled with the idea of being in a city but likes the size of Marquette, about double what Xavier is. However, the money at Xavier was much more generous. Anxious for her to decide but thinks she can’t really go wrong either way.

@arkymommy Congrats! Just curious about lead time. When did she apply? We will be at the same preview day. See you there.

@Momofmanytoo Thank you. We applied on 10/16 and the response was just active yesterday, 11/4. We will see you there. (I called it a Preview Day but I guess it’s actually an Open House we are attending!)

Son was accepted Biology (Pre-med) with $24K merit and money for books. 3.85 UW GPA and 32 ACT. Anyone familiar with the pre-med program?

Congrats! @2020CollegeDad - when did he apply?

Submitted common app early October but not all materials were in until late October.

I apologize if this has been answered already, but how soon after the acceptance on the portal did you receive information on scholarships, etc.? My D found out about acceptance on the portal on 11/6. GPA 3.7uw, SAT 1370, Biology. Thank you.

@DaddyNeedsANap The merit scholarship came with the acceptance letter.

@DaddyNeedsANap The portal had the merit info on it as well. It was the same letter that we received in the folder that arrived snail mail. Once you click on “View Update” (under Status Update), it should take you to the acceptance letter with merit listed.

Son was just accepted on Nov 12th to Political Science with a 22,000 /year merit award. His application went in October 31st.

Accepted! $23k/yr and direct entry into Nursing program
