Xbox and Productivity

I consider my work load to be pretty heavy, and I don’t have much free time. However, I feel that having an xbox in my suite is a good thing. For me, the xbox is the most efficient means enjoying my free time (large fun/s ratio). After a reasonable period of gaming, I feel momentarily freed from “fun” desires and ready to study. Yeah, yeah, I know, I’m a loser. But that aside, what do you guys think? Is this just a gamer’s sad, sad rationalizing, or do any of you feel the same? I mean, if I don’t spend the time showing a few of my roommates their place in soul calibur 4, I just end up on this site and others wasting (probably) more time!

I have a wii in my room. I hardly ever have time to use it this year but it’s nice to have, especially with all the cool multiplayer games they have for the wii.

I am the kind of person who can’t play video games for less than six hours at a time, I have no self-control at all whatsoever, but I know that and don’t pick up the controller unless I know I have that time to play. So it’s no big deal.

When I play video games, I just get sucked into this never-ending wormhole of laziness. Exercise is a much better stress release for me, especially team sports. I can’t stand to jog.

^Hmm, you’re right, I suppose there are better ways to relieve stress. For me, it should be music. I just get so damn lazy after orchestra rehearsals though.
