I moved during my junior to senior year to a new high school across the US. I would like my high school debate coach to send a letter of recommendation to the schools that I am applying to. I contacted him and he would be more than thrilled to do so. He has already mailed me one in October and he has given me permission to photocopy it and send it to the schools I am applying to.

My question is this. Is it okay for a photocopied letter of recommendation to be sent to the schools? (I am talking about top 15 universities in the US) Or should I ask my debate coach to print a letter of recommendation on a new piece of letterhead, sign each one, and mail it to each university?

<p>If you’re doing Common App, it’s fine to photocopy.</p>

<p>Otherwise…I’m not sure. I don’t know why it wouldn’t be though, unless he actually mentioned a specific school or something in his letter.</p>

<p>What I meant was an additional letter of recommedation. I already have my 2 recs in and completed, but I would like to ask him to submit an additional one as well for a grand total of 3 recs.</p>
