I will add that every Yale kid I met, new freshmen and upperclassmen alike, was very friendly and socially adept. (Maybe the socially inept were kept in a closet.) My impression is that Yale is made up of enthusiastic, open people. Students were willing to scratch beneath the surface in conversations, and could carry their end with ease.
