^Damn construction delays.

^
…so the class of 2015 will probably have a lower admission rate than last year… at least that’s how the trend’s going, lol.

And random question: What’s a QB finalist? I’m guessing QB means Questbridge, though I have no idea what that is… I just have heard the name somewhere. Thanks!

Aren’t we the lucky ones :)

That submit button is quite uplifting to click!!!
Much homework for me also :(.

Questbridge offers full ride scholarships to students whose families have low incomes. Basically, there are two rounds for finalists that can receive the scholarship. The number almost doubles every year, so about 10,000 students applied to the Questbridge Program with their own apps. You basically fill out their apps and essays, and within three weeks they’ll let you know if you’re a finalist. If you’re selected, you can apply to any of the 30 schools. They all range from Bowdoin college to Princeton to Yale Uni., and the best benefit is that if you get rejected for ED on December 1st, the QB Finalist’s app gets transferred for RD with their app fee waived. The only thing is that all 30 schools except MIT, Notre Dame, Yale, Princeton, Stanford are binding, so it kinda sucks if any of those schools aren’t your first choice. I just wish Yale was binding, I’ve always wanted to go there since I was 9!

^Is Harvard not involved with Questbridge? I thought they were for some reason

^Nope. They’re not.

it says “downlaoded” after my Common App, but just “completed” after the Supp…
Why doesn’t Yale download them at the same time??

^ I was wondering exactly that. I was talking to myself:
“download my supp, yale! DOWNLOAD IT RIGHT NOW”

sd6- i agree. Silverturtle, couldn’t you do Stanford EA?
And I’m curious, what do you want to study?

he could study anything and succeed.

silverturtle, why don’t you share your list of schools with us!

Same for me too, so there’s definitely no problem.

Maybe they are downloaded and it just doesn’t say “downloaded”? My guess is that by downloading the Common App, they download your supplement, too, because there were some places where I just submitted the Common App portion to, and the status didn’t change to “downloaded” until after I submitted the supplement to that school, even if it was weeks later.

Sent my application in on Saturday, roughly 45 days to go.

Yeah, I have that question, too. Why does it say “Downloaded”?

OMGOMGOMG I was contacted for my interview today. SOSOSO nervous. I was not expecting it to come this quickly. Having it next Wednesday.

So if I sent my SAT and SAT II scores using rush on Thursday, and according to the Eli Account Yale hasn’t received my scores yet, am I all set because I sent my scores before November 1, or am I screwed because Yale hasn’t received the scores on November 1?

Sorry I can’t really answer your question, but how did you get an Eli Account already? Did they email you?

^^^ Wow that was fast. What’s the general guidelines for dress code?

what’s the least expensive ivy league?
