I got the letter from Yale today giving me my account pin number. I was just wondering if this account is used for anything else besides accessing our decisions, because after I followed all the steps to set up my account, I couldn’t find any way to log back into the system gain. Are we not supposed to use this acount for anything but to find out whether or not we got in?

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s all you can do with it. I couldn’t do anything fun on mine either. I was hoping we’d be able to check and see if specific parts of our application were in or not, but unfortunately we can’t.

I was wondering this too. Thanks for bringing it up!

Yeah I had the same question. I accessed my account, and then there was nothing to do on the site. ??

Right now the only thing you can do is activate your account. When the day of decisions comes around, you’ll be able to sign in using the little name they gave you in the mail (and reminded you when you activated your account) and the password you chose. I think.

whoa what is this?? i didnt get this, where do u get this? email? regular mail? all ive gotten so far is that card that says “we got all of your stuff, so dont call us, we’ll call you”

The same day I got my little card, I got an envelope with a blue paper that talked about how they had all my stuff, gave me the name and info about the local director of the Yale ASC (or whatever it’s called), and gave me my PIN number and user name thingy.

hmm, i didnt get this. i got the white card that said “thank you for applying, we have received your materials, blah blah” with the picture of handsome dan on it, but nothing else

maybe i should inquire about it?

I really wouldn’t know if you should ask about it or not. It’ll probably only help you get your decision 1-3 days in advance, so it’s not much of a big deal. But again, I wouldn’t know.

To everyone else reading: is there anyone else who has NOT gotten their PIN, etc yet?

I got my PIN, but not the confirmation card.
