Yale alumni ?

Do we have any Yale alumni in here ?

yes… any questions in particular, or are you just scouting?

Yes. Happy to answer any questions.

hey great. yes i have a few questions,

firstly, i wanna just inform u that i am an applicant to the full-time MBA program at Yale SOM.

I for sure believe that Yale has an empowering alumni network. however, I have read a few posts by ppl in this forum. and its mostly negative tals. hence i wanted to know from u guys that

1) does a small class size affect your interaction or networing with alumns.
2) do u sencerely believe that u have got the most outta the program. Got all that u wanted from an MBA
3) amongst ur recruiters did u ever feel that they were not een or were defensive about YAle SOM. I now for sure that the unversity name-YALE is a great assest but however, is the Management school upto the excepctations ?

thank you,

by alum, I thought you meant an alum of the college. I did not go to SOM so I can’t be of any help. It does, however, have the best food on campus if that’s any help.

I’m also an alum of the college, so no real knowledge about SOM. I do know that SOM has been rising in the business school rankings and that the Wall Street Journal has highly commended it for its teaching of ethics (check out its annual business school issue). Its reputation is definitely on the upswing. I also get the sense that if you want to do touchy-feely do-gooder stuff with your MBA it’s the place to go, less so for more traditional corporate jobs.
