Yale CC Class of 2009

Congratulations to all of you for being such a great bunch of people. You really gelled nicely and helped each other with such wonderfully stress-reducing diversions. Your tone was always positive and friendly. Remember, regardless of the outcome, you’re all winners. A college can only accept so many. Adcoms truly do give every applicant a good look, but in the end the decision is subjective. So, not getting in does not mean you’re not good enough. Your years of striving and hard work were not in vain. They refined and defined you as a human being. Your application for admission is simply denied, not rejected. By the way, assure your parents that everything is ok. They too are under a lot of stress for you.

To those whose applications are accepted, have a wonderful four years at Yale. Don’t forget the others who were not accepted. Give them plenty of cyber xoxo, as you’ve always done. You guys are such a tight bunch you need to have reunions, cyber or real life. Don’t forget The Facebook.

Again, congratulations to all of you and have a wonderful four years of college and a great thereafter.
