@Breezy9 I’m in the same boat!! I’m actually bringing my computer to the courts because decisions come out right before my lesson! At least I can take my emotions out on the ball!!

Is anyone planning on going to school on Tuesday? I don’t think I will be able to concentrate if I do :((

I’m planning to go about my day as normally as possible on Tuesday. The chances that I will get accepted are slim, but I did the best that I could and I’m incredibly proud of each accomplishment on my application. Realistically, I’m anticipating a deferral. I don’t have any “hooks.” I have a 4.0 uw GPA, 2330 SAT, 5’s on 6 APs, 800s on SAT IIs, but the fact remains that I am not an athlete, world renowned musician or underrepresented minority. That’s okay. I feel like I will be happy and successful even if I don’t get into Yale, but the waiting that accompanies deferral frightens me a little. All I can do is write essays for other schools and try to keep my mind off of Tuesday evening.

@balletbooty You sound like an amazing candidate and I would keep my hopes up if I were you
Even if Tuesday does not turn out how you would like, I have no doubt that a number of other great schools will accept you. And don’t worry, not every accepted kid is an athlete, world renowned musician or underrepresented minority.

@balletbooty You sound like a strong applicant. I’m sure your chances on paper are just as good as everyone else here. For everyone here, it’s going to come down to the intangibles. Hopefully we all wrote stellar essays and have glowing recommendations!

Everyone is so nervous. Honestly, I am excited (No matter what the result).

I’m kind of glad that I’m going to be locked in a practice room until 5:30 on Tuesday afternoon (prep school probs tho). I’ll have to wait to check and that way I won’t be dealing with a server that has crashed.

Can anyone tell me what time someone in London, UK should expect to hear? I didn’t know there was a specific time they told us. Good luck everyone!

It’s 5 PM eastern standard time, which is I believe 10 PM there.

thanks @dreamchaser50 - best of luck

^you’re hilarious man, sick joke

This literally terrified me because I thought decisions were out.

Honestly, would have been funnier if they said deferred. If that made up person can’t get in, no one can.

LOL OMG @joshgoldberg. Wow, that scared the wits out of me!

That was indeed a sick joke…

I freaked out for a solid two minutes when I saw that

I am shocked. How all of you are going to study in Yale?! You are not prepared for life, you didn’t feel it for real. You are immature!. Stop screaming like “I am nervous, I can’t wait” YOU CAN and you WILL WAIT! I just don’t understand you guys, pfff. I have no words… Are you really Yale applicants who will be an elite group on earth?! If yes, that’s ridiculous!

Let’s all be chill. For many of us it’s the first time we’ve applied anywhere. It is understandable to be nervous.

when you are accepted, is it 100% that there is a singing bulldog? like is that how they always do it? In other words, when I open my decision, if I see a letter, do I automatically know that I did not get in?

On Tuesday to keep my mind occupied before 5p im planning on: school, sex, track practice, and getting my nails done

Oh well, it doesn’t sound very Yale like

Fortunately this is anonymous!
