<p>11 hours! I went from expecting a deferral to expecting complete rejection. I submitted such a crappy creative writing supplement and my essays revealed nothing important about me. I just wish everyone else good luck. </p>

<p>I’m trying to understand why last year the time stamps for when people heard back on CC is 12:00 noon (in the 2018 SCEA group). I think this is a glitch probably, but still making me nervous</p>

<p>@PhoebeGrey It’s not a glitch—on the West Coast, the time stamp is 9 a.m. That’s one of the reasons I’ve been thinking the decisions may be released earlier. (Though I was wrong about Monday the 15th!)</p>
<p>@PhoebeGrey : I had the same thought! But everyone said that Yale never releases early… Can anyone provide an explanation for the discrepancy between the 5 pm release and the timestamp on the CC thread?</p>
<p>@apesrocks, a moderator probably has better information, but it was around that time that time stamps went nuts; you’d post at 10 PM and the time stamp would say that you had posted yesterday. I think the internal representation of posting is recorded as some offset to GMT. </p>
<p>To the best of my recollection, the announcement was at 5PM EST. </p>

Remember that Yale’s deferrals fall between H’s “we only reject SCEA ax murderers” and S’s “we only defer people we will eventually accept, but we enjoy making them wait.” J/k of course. You still have a legit shot if you’re deferred. </p>
