<p>Flat out rejected as well. I remember reading a Yale admissions officer say something about how they give out so many deferrals because they don’t want students to be discouraged and to let the student know that they are still strong candidates for other top schools. I’m speculating myself to death right now and wondering if this rejection in the EA round means I shouldn’t even bother with my other reach schools in the regular round. </p>
