Yale Class of 2019 SCEA Discussion Thread

I ALWAYS MESS UP THE FORMATTING OF THE STATS THREAD I CAN’T EVEN BOLD SOMETHING MAYBE THIS IS WHY YALE REJECTED ME

Deferred… Disappointing but not surprised. Congrats to all those accepted!

Sorry to come by so late, it,s already early on the 17th where I am. I was accepted. Thank you to all! Special thank to billmeyshere and lxnayBob for your well timed advice!

To my fellow Yalies, hope to see you next year! And to those deferred don’t lose hope, but please keep open to new opportunities to fall in love with another college. To those rejected, all hope is not lost, I was in your position last year - rejected at Colgate and Bates - persevere!

Deferred. I’m not surprised because I’m a very logical person and being deferred was the most statistically probable result.

Accepted and over the moon!

Anyone know the chances of getting in if you’re deferred?

I GOT INTO YALE AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

.

Well, now that I’m officially rejected, I see no point in staying on this thread. It was a wild ride, and I’m glad I got to know every single one of you. For those accepted, congratulations! Getting into Yale is a huge accomplishment, but remember that it is not an accomplishment on its own; you have only opened a door. Take advantage of all that Yale has to offer to do something great for the world. For those deferred, I know just as well as anyone that waiting can be the hardest part. Don’t lose hope-- Yale wants to reconsider you for a reason. Whether you end up at Yale next year or not, just remember that no school defines your success. And for those rejected, I know exactly how you feel. With the deferral rate being so high, I barely even considered rejection. Even though this may be a blow to your ego, nobody can take away from all that you have already accomplished.

Regardless of your decision, I encourage everyone to stay levelheaded. Be wary of the fact that this is a hard time for many people.

Expect defer, got defer, life goes on.

I got accepted. I probably won’t be posting on this website anymore, so goodbye and thanks!!
