I have two finals tomorrow, and 2PM PST is all I can think about!!
Sorry guys-meant 2PST and 5ET lol
I have finals the day after and I know I’ll have a hard time studying. Hopefully my scores won’t reflect my admissions decision!
@boejarry Try having finals for the next three days! Either I will be apathetic because I already got into college, or distraught because I didn’t get in. Under both scenarios, my grades will probably suffer!
@Xboxgamergirl @lumiere16 Thanks, guys! We’ll see hahaha. I am making myself fall in love with all my other schools :)).
Another question- Do you think Yale faculty has any say or influence at all? Is it possible they could endorse or support the talent or ability of a student and, if so, would that have an effect? Sorry, new to CC. Thank you!
Guys you really shouldn’t be worrying about what factors are going to or not help/ hurt you. It doesn’t matter at this point.
Hey, guys! So I’ve been lurking on this thread since November and I finally decided that, in honor of decisions coming out in less than 24 hours, I should make an account
@APScholar18 , at this point it nothing matters- no harm done in asking on @MT16Actor 's part.
@MT16Actor , I believe it does. I was reading the 2019 thread, and one student got accepted with a 2100(ish) score, and there wasn’t anything special that made him stand out on his/her stat/resume list. He/She did, however, write about how he/she grew up around yale, had some faculty friends, and participated in some Yale related events. So if he was an “unhooked” kid, then I think it is safe to hypothesize that if you are connected to yale in some way (faculty, events), you have a push. Now, of course, you cant have like a 1200 SAT and a 2.5 gpa, but yeah- I would say it would help. But that’s just my opinion, I’m not really a reliable source!
There is a tendency that as decision day comes closer, we start to doubt ourselves and look for reasons for rejection. Some people work the other way and get overconfident. Just wanna say that keep your mind empty tomorrow. The more you think about it, the longer the day will seem tomorrow. Focus on other things. Focus on that MIT interview, that Lit final, that Physics Project. Be a happy person tomorrow- meet someone new, make some new friends. Help someone out. Just don’t think about Yale or your application. Treat it like your teacher just updated a grade for you and you have to simply check it at 5pm. The more you think, the more it will hurt, and the longer the day will seem. It will start to seem like a punishment than an opportunity!! Have fun, make tomorrow the best day (no matter what your results are), and be open minded!!!
Just chill out and chillax!!
Good night Guys!!! Gotta sleep early for a Lit final and a physics project, and a MIT interview- LOL!!
Sweet dreams…Dream about yale, or dream about me! I-)
Cannot stop thinking about tomorrow/contemplating every possible outcome that could happen no matter how hard I try oh my god
@DalekLover , nice to have you here! Good luck and welcome to the family !
@Xboxgamergirl That’s nice, but I go crazy when my teachers update grades lol
@ragingstorm well then you think about it like something that you casually do
This thread is going to gain like 15 pages between now and tomorrow night LOL
@glasshours deep breaths! In…out…in…out!!!
Guys we will all be FINE. No matter what the decision is, it’s not the end of the world!!
Oh, great. I woke up this morning with 99 notifications, so…
@strideforward More like now and tonight
Guys I’m literally freaking out right now. I have a final for my college class tomorrow and I can’t bring myself to study. Oh well!
I don’t blame you! @werewolf2016 Try to just review a bit but don’t go crazy.
