What happened with me:
- Checked link after reports of decisions on CC
- Said error-admited students only
- check 15 minutes later... and portal not available.
My last name is towards the end of the alphabet… Hope they are still loading.
Just got back from an appointment and saw all of this madness and just want to reiterate to CHILL. You have an hour and a half left. Don’t make the waiting game more painful than it has to be. Just find something to do and do it!
I for one am going for a run to clear my head before the decisions are released. I’ll be back in an hour to count down.
P.S. My proudest accomplishment is making the term “goblins” a thing. (even though my original comment was deleted :’( )
I’m generally with @kuriosmind on this - there’s no way to know for sure if (i) people on this thread are being “goblined”, (ii) it’s for real, (iii) Yale simply hadn’t finished uploading the decisions, or, (iv) what’s worse, if Yale still was working out the kinks of uploading the decisions and what was inadvertently made available before they cut it off was wrong or not checked. Whatever anyone saw - even if it was authentic - you simply don’t have enough information to know whether it was accurate, for good or ill. The moral of the story is, now and for anyone who reads this in future years, DON’T TRY TO LOG ON BEFORE THE DECISIONS ARE OFFICIALLY UP. You don’t know whether to believe what you see and if, heaven forbid, there’s an error and you think you’re accepted but it turns out you’re not, you’ll have put yourself through a lot of unnecessary pain.

Honestly, though, this site doesn’t mean anything. They may be not done with uploading decisions. They may have been testing whether it works on some random students (not for the students to find, that is, but to do it for themselves).
There may be countless explanations, so I once again suggest we just stop making assumptions and simply wait for another hour and a half.
Maybe @Snpdrgn and I really are just goblins who are messing with you >:) There is absolutely no way to know for sure until 5 PM. So let’s just relax and hope for the best.

I think it may just be a website malfunction. I tried logging in at about 2:40, and it said for admitted students only. I refreshed immediately afterwards, and it said portal inactive. I’m pretty certain this was before the phone call that was made to the admissions office, and before some other people tried logging and and got the “for admitted students only” message. So Yale is not trying to cover up anything; that wouldn’t make sense with the timeline.
This is excruciating. Seriously contemplating just trying to join the Facebook page and seeing if they approve me 
I agree with @aposnova My first initial is later in the alphabet, my second initial is early in the alphabet (first 5 letters). We should wait, as I will desperately, for the next 1.5 hours. good luck to everyone, and sorry for causing such distress – i reacted without thinking and should’ve taken more care before stirring drama.
