Yale Class of 2020 applicants

Should you submit FAFSA before getting accepted or wait till you get accepted (seems like FAFSA submit deadline is before decision date)?

It seems FAFSA can only list 10 colleges. How do you submit for more than 10?

Hey guys, any other UK applicants? Also, does anyone know how important GCSEs/A-Levels are, do they sub in for GPA or are they worth less?

has anyone else not received a confirmation email yet?

@hkhkhkhk I am still waiting confirmation emails from Yale and Brown. I’ve read on the Brown thread that a guy who applied on the 18th hasn’t received a confirmation email yet

My confirmation email came 2 days after I sent my application. Hmm

@eugeinc got it, lets see if we’ll get something later this week

Are you guys getting called for interviews yet? I haven’t heard anything from Yale asides my portal set up.

Hi guysssss…I applied RD. Good luck to all of us who are applying RD/those deferred.

My DD was deferred SCEA. I was wondering if any of the deferred candidates have got an interview post Jan deadline.

My application checklist doesn’t list the subject test scores I sent. Is that normal?

@goldenmaster, my understanding is that since they are optional (although recommended), they are not reflected on the checklist.

@Princetonian2020 I got my interview offer on New Years Day. I sent my app 5 days earlier.

@Princetonian2020 A full third of applicants in my area have not yet been assigned. And probably many of those that have, may not yet have been contacted by the volunteer.

@HeyYaThere EA deferrees who weren’t interviewed previously can get interviews, it’s definitely possible.

Thank you @T26E4. We are US citizens living in India. Will the same hold true for applicants living in India as well? Are interviews selective for students from India subcontinent? Thanks.

@HeyYaThere I’m sorry but I don’t have any direct knowledge. Here in the US, we face many more applicants than volunteer slots and thus, most go out completely randomly. Good luck to you!

Thanks a lot.

I got an email for an interview today, and my interviewer said this was an expedited case. Does anyone know what that means?

@ihave2020vision I have no idea

Probably considering you for YES weekend if you’re a STEM kid.

I read about that and I am in STEM, but I haven’t done anything amazing (no major research competition awards), so I’m not sure. For now, I’ll just prepare for the interview.
