Okay so none of the portals have changed
Yes, i submitted
thank you, I am not the only one with items in the Admissions checklist.
Also I received SID in early FEB. No interview. RD.
What is sid?
Please report if any exceptions: If you submitted a supplement, it is still there on your checklist.
IMO it is a unique Yale ID assigned to all FA applicants and students who matriculate. 9 digits and not the same one you have on admission portal.
Where do i check that?
They sent mine via email as they needed specific documents. I donât think it is displayed anywhere.
received SID, interview- but no extra docs in my checklist
Do you have option to preview, delete and add another research paper?
Yes
RD. When did you receive your SID? After or before interview? Early or late Feb?
after interview in early feb- why?
fwiw i am not sure how reliable SID theory is
Student Identification Number (SID)
A unique nine-digit number assigned to a student upon matriculation. The SID is used in place of a studentâs Social Security Number for indexing and accessing documents and information. It is also a studentâs account number.
The SID is located in the upper left corner above the date on the first page of the financial aid award letter. Whenever you contact Student Financial Services, please have the Student Identification Number available.
SID seems to be a positive sign. But I wonder if any intl received it?
i am international- donât look too much into it I donât think itâs all that important. go on reddit and look back through the threads by searching âyale sidâ
My latest thesis was from a guy on reddit who claimed:
SID in REA: Accepted/deferred
SID in RD:accepted/waitlisted
However, in the replies to their post someone claimed they had heard of people being rejected in EA with an SID.
SID is not any kind of indication. They just needed more documents so they had to track using a separate ID than what Admissions office uses.
Thank you. I was just curious, i received in early FEB but no interview.
I believe everyone who applied FA has an assigned SID. They also later assign SID to all matriculated students, nothing more.
yeah, there is some suggestion that receiving the email means they are interested in you (not the SID itself) as not everyone get the email. I do not really know though, are you international?
Receiving it might be a good indicator but not receiving is prolly not bad. Might just mean they got all they needed.
