yale EA ppl

I just sent in my app… I was hyperventalating the whole time. I am soooooooooo nervous. Its up to a bunch of adcoms (aka gods) to decide my future now)

I hope the gods like my sucky recording. I made it tonight, and it sucks, but it’s the best I’ve got so it’s going. Stupid dead room. No air! I need air!

Of course we all think what we’ve got is the worst in existence. Hopefully sane people (aka the gods) won’t share our self-derogatory opinions.

Good luck tkm256. I agree with you, which means your recording is probably awesome.

hey guys, have you finished/submitted all of your CSS profile shiz and submitted your tax stuff too? I just realized that that’s due on the same day as the app… ahhh

yup my parents filled theres out and sent it in about a week ago

yeah… i don’t think I’m applying EA anymore… there’s no way I can get that done + finish my app on time.

the CSS thing doesn’t take that long, just get it in as soon as possible. If you work this weekend I’m sure you can make it by tuesday.

it’s not just that- i have an entire essay to write still… question though, if my school sends my transcript + one o f my teachers sends a rec for EA, will Y get the hint that I’m not applying early, or what?

did u already turn in the app saying ur applying early, if so you need call and tell them you are applying regular instead.

no, my app isn’t in yet… just the transcript probably and a teacher rec

oh yeah, thanks for your help SEW :)

ur welcome, I’m sure ull do great RD, plus it will probably impress them that u are turining in all ur stuff so early.

Hi,
I’ve got a question…I’ve already sent in my app, but my school hasn’t sent in all my teacher and counselor recs yet…do they have to also mail those before Nov. 1?

I think they are supposed to but my stupid counselor hasn’t yet even though i turned it into her a month ago. The way she explains it is: if it is something the school is supposed to do they don’t hold the student responsible. I don’t really believe this, however, because it could still be the students fault if the counselor doesn’t turn it in on time.

yeah…same here! I turned in my counselor and teacher forms 3 weeks ago…I hope I don’t get blamed if they’re turned in late…

I talked to my counselor today and whenever I mentioned the deadline she told me to “calm down”. Of the 90 seniors she deals with 8 are applying early and she says she is mailing them all at once. Whether or not “at once” is on time, however, is another story.

well, ladies, gentlemen, everything in between, my app is in and chances are I’ll be talking to you cats later when December 15th approaches.

Extreme luck to everyone! and who knows what may happen on the other side?

I have an Eli account! That’s so great. It means absolutely nothing, but I am a number in the Yale University system–to a certain extent. I get excited way too easily. I should save some of it for December 16th.

when they say “your admissions file has been opened,” that doesn’t mean it’s all in, right? but it would be great if it did.

Na, I still have supplementary materials coming. OMG, I hope my counselor sent my rec in. I will spike her food with sugar if she didn’t (she’s on low-carb…mwahaha).

So they emailed you guys? How did you know you have an account? I’m pretty sure they received my app, but I haven’t heard back yet. :(
