Does yale send Eli pins to confirm that they received your application? Good luck by the way!

jli2006, your comment about “the dumb kids at Explo” is totally biased and unfair. I went to Explo, and there were some exceptionally bright and creative people there. In the future, avoid putting labels on people you know next to nothing about.

So has anyone who mailed the application around Nov 1 actually been contacted …?

Woohoo 1900th post! I don’t really have anything to contribute to this thread, but I thought it’d be cool if my 1900th was here. :)

Good night.

haha, maybe your posting ur 1900th post in the Yale forum is good luck. Stay sane theoneo.

I’ve had both an on-campus interview and an alumni interview. The basically ask the same generic “tell me about yourself” questions. The campus interview was VERY laid-back and casual. The interviews are with Yale seniors, who are all very nice and eager to talk about their experience. The on-campus interviews are probably shorter than the alumni interviews because of time restraints. My on-campus interview was around 25 minutes; my alumni interview was a little more than 45 minutes.

Oh, and I sent my app in online 10/31 and was contacted by phone on the ninth. I got my Eli letter yesterday, too.

wow…this thread is slowly dying…we need to resurrect it!!

viva la “Yale EA people” thread :p

just a little over a month…just a little over a month

(i tried starting up conversations with the scea harvard kids. but they dont want to talk to me
so im crashing this thread instead)

hey people…I’m EA for Yale as well…I turned in my stuff on Oct. 28 so I guess it’s reasonable if I don’t have a confirmation letter yet, right? oh well…good luck to everybody applying!!! trying not to bite fingernails in anticipation…thinks of chocolate ^_^ I’m off to eat some chocolate!

haha, the more nervous i get, the more i visit CC, and specifically, the Yale EA thread, and the less time i spend on my hw…(not good)

I haven’t done any work today. At all.

i know…the period from Nov 1 - Dec 15th is, by far, the worst.

Yeah, but nothing beats the period from Dec 15-April 1 (for the dreaded deferred people)

yea, but at least that period coincides with second semester, when u can hopefully get ur mind off college and stress and chillax. However, during the Nov 1 - Dec 15th, u havta worry AND keep ur w/ ur grades, a rather incompatible combination if u ask me :)

Yeah… only 32 days, 20 hours, and 21 mins.

wow ur crazy, lol

well i downloaded a countdown clock. im actually not as obsessed as most of the kids on the yale board. i just dont have anything better to do.

Ah, the first step to obsession…

397 days, 19 hours, 43 minutes for me…

~30 hours until my SAT score! Hehe I feel like a little kid around you guys. Oldies! What time do SAT scores come out, anyway?
