Exactly. I’d be afraid of it blowing up in my face (not to mention I’m not that arrogant).

I’ll be visiting Amsterdam and Rotterdam. I have friends in both places. I’m exciiiiited.

cool… well if we both get in, maybe we can meet in the summer, I would really like to know someone if I go there… Btw amsterdam is nice, but not as nice as utrecht!

if if if if if if if

Don’t jinx it!

You guys…

I just have to say that I absolutely love how NICE Yale EA kids are. The arguments on the Harvard board are seriously scaring me.

And flowertje, yes! That would be awesome. I would really like that. I would like to learn Dutch, too, but your language just baffles me. I don’t know how in the world you guys make some of the sounds you do, I don’t think human tongues are capable of doing those things.

Edit: I knocked on wood. Haha.

ar…gu…men…t? what’s that? i’m going to go see how much fun they’re having.

they’re pretty ridiculous. it just seems like they’re always angry.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=123919

I had to intervene in that one. I just don’t see how such smart people can be so childish.

wow, the people on the princeton board are really mean to each other. they’re even mean to parents! I’m so glad I decided to apply to the nice ivy

i agree.

yale is nice.

I can’t believe an entire month and like 11 days has passed and I’m still not done with my yale app. I decided not to EA because I couldnt finish the essays, and I’m still not done! I’m rooting for you guys this week :)

Yeah.

It would really suck to be rejected by Yale and have to end up at one of my safeties like Harvard.

Yeah, seriously. You kid, gavroche, but the thing is most of us know we will end up at SOME great school, but we don’t really want to go to SOME great school, we want to go to the one most appealing to us after deep consideration. I guess I’d settle for Princeton or something, but I’d rather not. :)

thanks Rikataka.

gavroche, i wholeheartedly agree.

I don’t understand. If you look down on Harvard and Princeton for their attitudes (and I do too)
why are they even jokingly your back-ups (i.e. you’re applying to them rd)

yale is the only really high level ivy I’m applying to (unless you count dartmouth). The whole reason I decided to apply there and not to any of the others is that I got a sense that people at yale weren’t trying to tear each other down (well, at least not all the time). It seemed like people were genuinely interested in learning from each other. and maybe I just hit the others on bad days, but I didn’t feel the same about any other school I visited.

rhapsody pretty much summed up my reasoning too.

the only school that comes close to Yale in that regard is Brown in my opinion.

officegirl2, I’m not applying to Harvard. I was kidding around.

i only applied to yale, too. (in terms of Ivy)
