Yale Eli Whitney Program 2025

Exactly! There are people who wouldn’t even think to do it. And when we all get in we could even see each other on campus! I met people at Columbia who I talked to for months on college confidential haha.

I’m down :sob: hoping for the best but grateful for the journey! I applied for Columbia too  I have a lot of friends there and go there often to hang out with them.

Nice dude! Columbia was okay imo but a pretty penny and they don’t give nearly enough financial help to non-traditional students. Otherwise I might’ve been able to stay and finish there haha. Nothing like the city though.

Same, Columbia had simiar transfer programs as Yale & Brown, but it was only for their “School of General Studies”, so they would only offer BA’s. Plus, they don’t have comprehensive financial aid policies compared to Yale and Brown, so it wasn’t appealing to me because I can’t afford to live in NYC lol.

Yeah financial aid is definitely a problem with Columbia. I already live in NYC and my community college now has a pipeline program to GS where they select 5ppl per semester to get a full ride. That’s what I’m aiming for lol

Oh wow! That’s cool. I’m sure you’ll succeed!!

Hi everyone, I usually don’t join forums like this, but I figured it may be a good idea to have the support of others going through the same experience, whether accepted or denied. I had no idea Brown had a program similar to Yale’s. I would’ve loved to have the opportunity to apply to that as well. Regardless, I truly love Yale and am so excited! We’re less than eight weeks away from decisions. Good luck, everyone!

You’re not the only, I don’t usually join forums either, including reddit. Just want some ideas and advice from people in the same situation, and to help me cope as well lol.

Hey!! I also just started to join forums like this as well. When do you guys think they will start to send the interview invites? Would 8 weeks be enough for Stand Out + AO interviews to be done and reviewed?

I was told updates would go out in late March to check the application portal. Not sure if this is to gather late/missing documentation for apps or for the invitation to interview. I’m trying to enjoy my Spring break and not think about it until then. (:

Did anyone get a notification for a “College Board Noncustodial PROFILE Application”, does anyone know what exactly that is?

CSS profile? It’s for financial aid. I got an email today saying to review my profile and the financial aid checklist is showing now

Yeah I got the same email, so I decided to check, and I’m “missing” the “College Board Noncustodial PROFILE Application” and “Non-Custodial Parent’s 2023 Tax Return”. I thought Yale doesn’t require parental financial information for EWSP applicants. So do you think we still need to create a profile?

I got the email this morning too and just filled out the Verification Statement not realising it already had a green checkmark next to it lol, it just wasn’t there before. Looks like all my materials are in! Only thing greyed out is my parents 2023 tax forms but they didn’t have taxes in 2023 and they submitted their non tax-filer statement so I believe I’m all good! Excited to be hearing from them!

I emailed them and they were able to waive the “College Board Noncustodial PROFILE Application” from my checklist for me fortuantely.

This is what I have:
I am international on a F1 visa here. I believe I only have to submit the CSS profile since I am not allowed to fill the FAFSA did not pay taxes.

From what I know, that sounds about right, but don’t quote me lol.

Congratulations! Would you have a background to share and why you decided to apply?

I don’t usually comment on forums, but I wanted to share a bit of my journey. I took the road less traveled…choosing to work full-time instead of going straight to college. Eventually, I realized I did want to earn my degree, so I enrolled in a local community college. A mentor introduced me to the Eli Whitney Students Program, and that led me here. Excited to connect and learn from others on a similar path!
