Starting to lose hope guys
I tell myself to just move on to other things, but it’s really hard to not think about this… the waiting game is killing me!!

Someone on Reddit said to think of it as a lottery ticket and that’s how I’m seeing it.
I also lowkey hated the standout interview process and think it creates unnecessary anxiety for applicants. Look at how many people on Reddit were stressing over it. This whole application process is tough enough for nontraditional students. Just give people prompts in advance and let people craft mindful answers if you’re so set on leveraging video.

Hope I’m wrong, but bracing for a rejection letter today.
What makes you say that
Interviews start today and have not received one. In past year’s I’ve seen the first day of interviews is when they start sending out rejections.
Have a cuppa tea and calm down bud, it’ll all work out

I would not start accepting a rejection so soon. The stand out deadline is not even over yet. It’ll be ok.
Haha wish I could, genuinely. I hate being like this, but I’m high strung and always have been. I struggle with things out of my control and this application waiting is driving me up a wall.
Once you accept you can’t change things out of your control you will be much more chill. Your app is in, you’ve done your job. There’s no extra credit for stressing

I did my interview. Like others have said, was very conversational, light-hearted and honestly enjoyable. Who doesn’t like talking about their story? Went over time with my interviewer and they seemed genuinely interested. At the end of the day though the interviewer will write a report for the committee and who knows what the vote will be. I’m thankful for the opportunity and best of luck to everyone. My guess for second wave interview invites if they happen is sometime next week.
