I recently saw online how small of an engineering class that Yale has for undergraduates. Does this make it easier or harder to get accepted with a declared engineering major and strong engineering ec’s.

Also, does living far away, such as South Florida, decrease/increase or no change to admission chances?

Because undergrad students often change their majors, an applicant’s projected major does not generally play a role in admissions at Yale. But I think that because its School of Engineering was revived just a few years ago, engineering at Yale may be a bit of an exception for an applicant who can back his/her stated interest in engineering with tangible achievements in relevant academic areas. Sounds like you can do that.

Florida is not an underrepresented state. No admissions advantage there.

Okay, thank you. Hopefully I can show that my engineering interests are sincere through my ISEF research and my mentorships with engineering professors.

Also, what do you mean by “was revived just a few years ago”?
