Yale Essay Requirements

<p>Can someone tell me what essays Yale asks for besides the common app ones? I can’t get their Supplement to come up on the website for some reason, and we are still in Katrina exile, so I don’t have the actual application. Many thanks for your help.</p>

Some students may want to tell us more about themselves than they are able to convey in the Common Application’s Short Answer and Personal Essay.
We invite you to write, if you wish, an additional essay of not more than 500 words that you feel will help us to learn more about you as a human being.
That is the goal of a “personal” essay. Your essay should be printed on a separate sheet marked “Optional Essay” with your full name and date of birth at
the top. It may be submitted with the Common Application and the Supplement or mailed separately.
