<p>I’m not sure how the site works, but will it prevent me from sending my app after the 12/31/04? I know the deadline has been extended, but does the site know that? Or does the site only add a timestamp for the school to see?</p>
<p>I believe (only using common sense and heresay however) that it only timestamps it (although even that isn’t confirmed). I hope beyond hope (for my Amherst application), that it does not shut it off. If so, Then I’m mailing it on the 3rd.</p>

<p>Yes I had the same question… Common App says if the deadline has passed, that college will appear “blank” under my colleges selected tab… I guess I’m hoping for timestamps too</p>
<p>Cornell’s deadline has also been pushed back, to 10th Jan. But as of 1/2/2005, its not an option under the my colleges page!!</p>

<p>I submitted both yale and cornell on the 1st and there was no problem at all…common app definitley only time stamps them and then the college decides whether its ok or not…

<p>i emailed the adm office. Chandra emailed Jan 7 as the final deadline for application. Yale is 4th.</p>
