Yale Fall 2010 Thread

Thanks RileyJohn!!! I freakin love you bro. I think God still has plans for me. I’ll cheer up

That’s the spirit! I was also kinda down all day because of this but I guess it was not meant to be -at least this year, hahaha…

oh shizzle. congrats people! now i kinda wish i didn’t withdraw my app…

Congrats nvilla and doctorx!

While EW IS Y College, and I have no better idea than anyone else here if all acceptances are out yet or not, has anyone else noticed that both acceptances have been from Patricia Wei, Director of the EW Program, not Jill Cutler, Assistant Dean in charge of transfers?? While another poster said earlier on this thread that EW decisions came out later, the 2009 Y transfer thread shows a person being accepted last year on May 11, a few days before non-EW transfers were notified.

When I visited Yale, I was introduced to the director of transfer students, Patricia Wei.

i am/was not an ew applicant. i am a straight-up transfer student, just like the rest of you. that said, i have no idea how many e-mails were sent out today.

Congratz to nvilla and the doctor. (sigh), I’ve been so down for the whole day that I forgot to give props to these amazing individuals for their accomplishments. I think this is a sign for me to follow a different direction in life. I’m going to start resume working full-time, save up money, and eventually start my own business after things settle down. I assure you, I’m gonna do everything I can to become successful one way or another.

Congrats Nvilla and Doctor. I got caught up in responding  You’ll do amazing things!!

Congratulations!!! Admission is always thrilling! LOL~~ But I am really confused with the Eli Whitney thing. Does no-email-today equal to rejection? Any results besides Nvilla’s and Doctor’s acceptances? Nervous…

I agree with quantummechanics. I just got so caught up in studying for my exams and this that I forgot my manners. Congratulations guys. Well, if entomom is right about Eli Whitney students, then maybe there’s hope for the rest of us. Nvilla, were you an Eli Whitney applicant, or just a normal transfer applicant?

Congrats guys! Fingers still crossed…

OMG WOW GUYS, great job!!!

I admire the spirit on this board - most of you will transfer to an excellent
school - maybe Yale is not over yet as Entemom pointed out. Good Luck!

Last year’s, May 11, post:

Dear [Applicant’s Name],

I am delighted to inform you that your admission to Yale College as a transfer student has been approved for September 2009. Congratulations!

Patricia Wei, to my understanding and according to her e-mail signature posted in this thread, assumes many responsibilities, one of which is transfer admissions, and another EW admissions.

Yale releases EW students after freshman and transfer decisions, it seems.

Thanks for the correction all, I was inquiring because of the signature and PWs position description.

When all of your results are in, please remember to post on the Official 2010 decision sticky thread!

I am a regular transfer student. The email is signed

Patricia Wei
Director of Transfer, Eli Whitney, and Non-Degree Admissions.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes!

Just got an email. Rejected, oh well.

Rejected. Oh well.

Rejected. Oh well.

Hahah… nice trend.
