I have to say that 35 students being admitted is more than I expected. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include me. Haha. BTW, will the rejected got mail notification?
Good luck to us who may have chance to study in another excellent university!~

Where did you get 35 from?

It’s in the email.
“It is painful to us that we must turn away so many superbly talented students, but we only have room for 35 students, resulting in an admission rate of only 5%.”

Oh… why didn’t I get an email yet uGHhhhhhhhhhhh these mind games

Wait has everyone heard back already… Because I still haven’t gotten an email…

I haven’t heard either. They are probably releasing them in batches.

So is it safe to assume that they already sent out all of the acceptances since there were only 35… I guess I just need to accept it lol -_-

whatever floats your boat!

Waitlisted. Got my email on the tenth, was anybody else?

@ auckland, are you an international student?

Yeah I am. Auckland New Zealand

Has anyone (doctorx017, nvilla) received their admissions packet and financial aid award yet?

yeah, I received mine yesterday, though the housing form was missing.

what region do you live in? also, is there an enrollment deposit?

I live in New York but received my package in Massachusetts. The deposit is $200.

is there any information about orientations for transfer students?
as for the housing I assume they are randomly assigning everyone to RCs??

FOCUS is an orientation program for sophomores and transfer students. It’s aim is to get students more familiar with NH and participate in a community project. My D1 participated as a transfer, last year she was a leader and this year is on the organizing committee. Projects are at various NH organizations, and range from painting to working with people who are HIV positive.

FOCUS is a great way to get familiar with Y & NH and meet other students.

Yes, depending on where there are vacancies, you will be assigned to a RC this summer.

thanks entomom.
Also, BIG thanks for the earlier information on applying as a transfer - it made a big difference for what i chose to put in my application! :)

^You’re welcome! Enjoy, you’ve earned it!

Y Transfer Class of 2012/13:

32 transfers are matriculating at Y this fall, compared to 18 in 2009 and (as I recall) 24 in 2008. There are currently 64 transfer students attending Y (jr transfers from 2008 graduated last spring).
