Yale Fee Waiver Help?

Hello all!

So, I was working on my Yale Supplement, and saw their request for financial information if I intend to apply for a fee waiver. Do I need to fill this out even if I am using a College Board fee waiver?

Also, I don’t live with my mother at the moment, but I understand that I still must use her information on the FAFSA and CSS profiles when applying for financial aid–does this still apply for this Fee Waiver request as well? (she also hasn’t worked in ten years and hasn’t filed taxes in a long time). Or, since I live with my grandparents, would I have to use their information? (Either way, I fall in the less than $60,000 range, considerably more so with my mother than with my grandparents, but still…)

Any help you all can give me is greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time!

Probably a question best and most succinctly answered by a call to Yale Fin Aid.

I would save the cb fee waiver and fill theirs out. Just explain yourself in the document. If they reject your request, send one. I wouldn’t want to use up a cb one without trying for that one at least.
I got accepted for the Yale Fee Waiver and fall under the 60,000 cap as well. They’re more generous with fee waivers than the UC system, which rejected me for one :frowning:
Just try, you never know what you’d get.
