Yale hopefuls/debaters: I need help

Hey, I know this isn’t exactly in line with the whole “ZOMG WILL YALE REJECT ME FOR THIS?” thread or, of course, the “ZOMG DID YALE REJECT ME ALREADY BECAUSE I HAVEN’T GOTTEN THIS YET?” thread, but I’m in a big pickle right now.

I have an IE tournament on Saturday, am doing duo interp with a fellow potential Yalie, and realized tonight that our piece WILL NOT work. Do you guys know of any good duo pieces? We’re pretty desperate here.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey, I’m working on my Duo piece too. I just went over a rough cut of Some Like It Hot; a straight read-through took 18 minutes. Gotta get crack’n to cut it down. 'Else my partner and I are in the same boat you are, needing a new piece with the clock ticking.

Good luck with your IEs! And with Yale, too!

Dude, this is your partner.

epic rofl.

dahhahahahahahha

Wow, this is the funniest thing I have read in days!!
I’m sorry, I’d love to help but I’m not a debater and have no idea what you’re talking about.

If that is true, that is totally quotable ■■■■■

Duo is not debate…

Nevertheless, this is very funny.

That’s so funny! Strange coincidences like that are also somewhat frightening.

Public forum, policy, and student congress is what i call “debate”. I’m a public forum debater … represent

Policy all the way!
I was considering switching to PFD, but then I came to my senses
Haha, just kidding.

extemp all the way!

O.O

LMAO.

wat?

Your debate teams don’t also compete in IEs?

And yes, that really is my partner. When I first read his post, I didn’t read the name it was under, and thought “Wow, this guy’s situation is eerily similar to mine.” Then I looked at his username and… yeah.

ew and ew lol

And lol to that revelation. My partner doesn’t wander onto this forum

i dont know if the question was directed towards me, but my team does IEs during invitational and state series and then for Nats qualifiers, some people do debate events, and others stick to IEs. i love speech (and debate)

I actually didn’t realize my partner came here, either, but his username is the same thing he uses for everything online.

I agree with Hlover: extemporaneous is the way to go.

AHAHHAHHhahahhahahahaha
