Georgetown’s school of foreign service is most commonly known as the best international relations school in the world. Does Yale have an international relations program anywhere near as competitive as Georgetown’s, and what would make someone choose Georgetown SFS over Yale’s IR program? Thanks

Both are excellent, but SFS is better in terms of class size, specialization, and professors. Yale is better if you like IR but also like other subjects. SFS students cannot really take too many courses outside SFS. Minors or majors in something outside SFS are not allowed.

It also depends on what you want to do. If you really want to intern under congressmen or foreign service offers, SFS is better. If you might want to go into law or business, Yale is better.
