<p>I’m in a rather obscure situation. I don’t know what the best path is for me to take at this point in my undergraduate career. I have two options:</p>

<p>1). I can remain at my university, which is an almost unknown state school–University of South Carolina Beaufort, where I’m Student Body President. I spent last summer with a Congressional internship in DC. Currently, I’m making big changes at my university by implementing many new programs and helping to construct our first dining facility, etc. I’m constantly being interviewed and put in the news. I also spend much time in meetings with the faculty and administration, therefore I have no issues getting recommendations from the top of the school. But again, this school is unknown.</p>

<p>2). I can transfer to Missouri Valley College, a slightly more known private university. Here, I would be able to get a jumpstart on my career before I graduate. I’ve been offerred a job with the congressman I worked for. I also would have the opportunity to be a community organizer in the local town. Here, I could make real change for a wider range of people. </p>

<p>So would Yale Law be more impressed with a campus changer…or a person who took a chance and started their career (I want to be involved with politics) at a very early age?</p>

<p>I have a 4.0 GPA, and I’m also in the running for the Truman Scholarship. </p>

<p>Which one is better? Help! Help! Help!</p>

<p>I’m shooting for law school also - Yale, Harvard, ND, Mich etc… stuff like that - but it is insanely hard t get into their law program - don’t transfer just b/c of that though - Do you like your school? Do you like what you are doing now??? that is what matters - do something over the summer, that is what i did - I am a poli sci, Busi major and BioChem, econ minor. I am hoping to transfer to ND or UM this winter for personal reasons but over the summer i ran as a trustee for my township - i lost but i got 25% of the vote - it was fun and just something my friends and i did d!cking around. </p>

<p>really the school you go to wont matter as much as long as you pull the grades and you show your commitment to the classroom, EC and write some compelling essays - you already have the relations established at USC - all you are going to receive at your new place is a job with a congress men that you may not like, even though you have worked with him/her before, and the school may not be what you expected. </p>

<p>my opinion - i’m only a soph and 4.0 also but just my thoughts on stuff.</p>
