Yale Recruitment

What does it mean to be recruited? How do you know if you are being recruited? What is the basis of recruitment? If you are recruited are you more likely to be accepted?

if you are in a sport, you can get recruited.

You can also be recruited if you’re a minority. I know that sometimes, specific departments may recruit a few students, but I don’t have any concrete examples, so don’t take my word there as fact.

you can not be recruited if you are a minority. the minority recruitment pages are for asking questions.

i heard it was separated into four categories:
minority, aacademic, minority academic, athletic

where can you be recruited for minority status?

They have a program at Yale that works specifically to recruit minorities. It’s called the MRP, minority recruitment program. If you’re a minority, and if you did moderately well on the PSAT’s, then they sometimes send you postcards, and letters from the program.

I received their booklet earlier this year with there app for next year does this mean I am being recruited?

No it does not. It means they think you’re at least worth a big mailing.

I got an email from Yale and the “To” field said “Indiana Recruits Summer 2005.” Does this mean I’m actually being recruited, or just that I’m on their mailing list?
